The Monster Phonics Reception planning will ensure success in the new Early Learning Goals!
The EYFS reforms become statutory from September 2021 and the outline changes to the early learning goals. These are used to assess pupils at the end of reception.
We are adjusting our Reception planning to meet the new requirement for children to be able to say at least 10 digraphs prior to the Early Learning Goals assessments. This means that our phase 3 digraphs will now be taught earlier in the year. There will still be significant CVC+ blending and segmenting practice built around this, which has been a well-received strength of our Reception planning.
