The programme is organised into four easy-to-follow areas:
Phonics Time: Children develop listening and sound awareness through environmental sounds, instrumental sounds, body percussion, voice sounds, alliteration, oral blending and oral segmenting. As children are ready, they are gently introduced to early letter sound correspondences.
Rhyme Time: Children learn through nursery rhymes, songs, rhythm, rhyme, chanting and sound play. These sessions help children hear patterns in language, remember words and develop confidence with spoken language.
Story Time: Children enjoy traditional tales, high-quality stories, non-fiction texts and rich discussion. These sessions build vocabulary, comprehension, imagination and a love of books.
Singalong Time: A joyful opportunity for children to develop listening, language and phonological awareness through music, rhythm and rhyme.

Children are not rushed into formal phonics before they are ready. The programme first builds secure foundations in hearing, identifying and playing with sounds.
When children are ready, they begin to meet early grapheme phoneme correspondences through the familiar Monster Phonics characters, songs and visual cues. This keeps learning memorable, playful and accessible.
