What a year it has been! Some schools are beginning to wind down, while others around the world are already enjoying their summer break.
In South America and other parts of the southern hemisphere, many of you are still right in the middle of the school year. The sun truly never sets on the Monster Phonics world!
For those of you heading into the summer holidays, we hope you have a wonderful and well-earned break.
Later in the summer, we will be sending all our UK and international schools a recorded update. We know many of you find this format helpful, as you can watch it at a time that suits you and return to any sections you would like to revisit.

Getting Ready to launch – our new Handwriting ToolComing soon to the Teacher Dashboard, alongside the World Builder tool, is our new interactive Handwriting tool.
Designed to make handwriting practice clear, memorable and engaging, it features every lowercase and uppercase letter in a choice of fonts. Children can listen to and watch each letter being formed, follow the simple rhymes that reinforce the correct movements, and use fun picture representations to help bring each letter to life.
Teachers can also switch between plain writing lines and a grass and sky background, making it easy to model and practise accurate letter formation in a way that suits every learner.
A comprehensive set of downloadable resources will accompany the tool, including Letter Families teaching sequences, sequence cards, practice sheets, capital-letter activities and Pattern resources to develop essential pre-writing movements.
Our work does not stop over the summer. We will continue to refine and develop the Online Assessment Tracker, with further updates designed to make it even more useful for schools and teachers.
Our new Nursery programme, launched in January, has already received a wonderful response.
We will also be adding further specialised pathways to the training section. We will share more details about these developments in our recorded summer update.
