Monster Phonics
World Book Day
World Book Day is nearly here! Click the link for details of our competition to help Tricky Witch. She will reply to each email with a Monster Phonics Activity Pack too. We are excited to share your school World Book Day, so please send your news our way or hashtag #monsterphonicsworldbookday for us to share.

Child Happiness Survey
This year’s World Book Day slogan is ‘Every child a reader’ and we know this happens when children are engaged in learning. So we would like to find out how much children enjoy learning phonics. We are creating a ‘Child Happiness Survey’ button. When you have a spare moment, it would be great if your children could click on a happy/neutral/sad face to tell us how they feel about their learning.

Monster Phonics Schools Network
Many Monster Phonics schools would like to set up a local network so that staff can share information and support each other. To facilitate this, we would like to connect local schools. If you are happy to share your school contact details with other nearby Monster Phonics Leads, please reply ‘Yes’ to this email.

Reading Assessments – New
We have added new excel Assessment Records and Assessment Flashcards Sets to the Assessment section. Reading Assessment PowerPoints will also be added shortly!

Uploading Phonics Data – New
We have created a new data section, within your Account area to add your school phonics data. This will help share progression between teaching staff across classes and year groups. It will also store historical data to enable each schools to track improvement.
Click ‘Account’ then ‘Online Phonics Data’, add the data and save.

Sound Mats – New
We have added Sound Mats for Reception and Year 1 to the Display section. The Year 2 Sound Mats will be added soon.
