We love fun ways of learning to read! As well as being matched to phonics phases 2 to 5 of Letters & Sounds and the KS1 Curriculum, our books are all about fun and engagement!

Cool Blue is looking so cool!

Monster Phonics books are about reading for pleasure too. Children are so excited about reading the monster stories that they are not only reading at the right level phonetically but they are also reading for enjoyment.

Research Evidence on Reading for Pleasure suggests the following:

• There is a positive relationship between reading frequency, reading enjoyment and attainment.
• Reading enjoyment is more important for children’s educational success than their family’s socio-economic status.
• Other benefits include: text comprehension and grammar, positive reading attitudes, pleasure in reading in later life, increased general knowledge.

World Book Day promotes reading for pleasure, an activity which is valuable for a lifetime!
