We know the start of the summer term can be overwhelming for everyone, we appreciate there is just so much to do. So, instead of sending lengthy newsletter updates to you all, we have condensed things into these short messages from the Monster Phonics Team, now titled: Monster Mash.

Additional Adventures: Lauren and I really enjoyed talking to children about the creation of the Additional Adventures stories during World Book Day. The new Stage 1- 3 books are a passion project of mine. I love writing them – it is my happy place! It is great to see so many schools investing in them especially ahead of the new Reception children coming in September 2024. This was our aim.
The books will be ready to dispatch very soon, and I will finish new stages soon too. They ready and available on our shop to pre-order.

Training Hub and NEW ’How To’ Video Library: Have you seen the new additions to our Training Hub? Take a look at our Enhanced Training section full of extra training for Headteachers, Phonics Leads and Class Teachers. This Enhanced section will continue to grow so if you have any thoughts or suggestions on what training you would like to see please get in touch!
We’re also crafting a ‘How To’ Video Library which will provide you with short teaching clips to help successfully deliver different elements of the Monster Phonics programme and support you with in-school training and coaching.

Free Superhero Spelling Training Sessions (1-Hour): We are also excited to be able to offer a free 1 hr superhero spelling training session to your school when you subscribe to Superhero Spelling KS2 Programme on how to get started. Plus, we’ll include some super ideas to ensure your spelling lessons interactive and fun.

Superhero Spelling KS2 ProgrammeWe are really pleased to let you know that Term 3 A resources and planning have now been added to the website, if you haven’t started using them yet then please do take a look and let us know what you think about some of our new super strategies and memory cues such as ‘Big and Bold’. We will be uploading Term 3B by the 2nd week of May.
